Taxonomy Level Management

Viewing existing levels and manage Level settings

Users can update and manage existing taxonomy levels through the Manage Levels section of the tool.

Accessing Level Management

From the Taxonomy Home screen, under the Admin section. Click Manage Levels.

This page displays:

  • All existing levels

  • Whether a level is currently used in any naming convention

  • The number of values contained within each level

Managing a Level

By clicking on a level name, users can:

  • View and update value permissions

  • Manage the values within the level

  • See where the level is being used in naming conventions

Updating value permissions allows you to control whether the level is Curated, Approval Required, or Free Entry.

Creating new Level

By selecting 'Create new level' on the top right, users can create a new level.

  • Name – The name of the attribute

  • Description – What this level represents

  • Value Permissions – Controls how values can be used (learn more about Value Permissions here)

  • Initial Values – Add known values
