Overview:
If a connection loses access to a data source, due to token expiring or previous person that authenticated the connection has left the business, users can re-authenticate it directly from Pipelines.
Authenticating via Bright Analytics Platform:
Who can use this method:
This method is available to users with access to Pipelines. If you need to authenticate a connection but don't have Pipelines access - for example, someone outside your organisation - use a one-time authentication link instead, see steps below on how to set up a one-time authentication link.
From the home screen, open Pipelines.
Select Connections to see a list of all your current integrations.
Find and select the integration you want to authenticate.
Open the OAuth tab.
Click Connect to [Integration]. You'll be prompted to log in to that platform and grant Bright Analytics access - for example, connecting to Facebook will ask you to log in and approve access there.
Generate a One-Time Authentication Link
If someone needs to authenticate a connection but doesn't have access to Pipelines or Bright Analytics platform - for example, someone outside your organisation - an Admin can generate a one-time link for them to use instead.
Generating a link:
From the home screen, open Pipelines.
Select Connections to see a list of all your current integrations.
Find and select the integration you want to authenticate.
Open the OAuth tab and select Generate one-time connection authentication link.
Copy the link and share it with the person authenticating the connection.
Please note: The one time link expires once it's used. If you need to authenticate again later, a new one-time link will need to be generated.
Steps below are for person authenticating the connection:
Copy across the one-time link into your browser, here you will see the invitation to authenticate the connection. Select the 'connect' button.
This will then prompt you to authenticate our API connection.
